SN 48.32 - A Stream-Enterer Translated by Bhikkhu Sujato Source: https://suttacentral.net/sn48.32/en/sujato License: CC0-1.0 Linked Discourses 48.32 4. The Pleasure Faculty A Stream-Enterer “Mendicants, there are these five faculties. What five? The faculties of pleasure, pain, happiness, sadness, and equanimity. A noble disciple comes to truly understand these five faculties’ origin, disappearance, gratification, drawback, and escape. Such a noble disciple is called a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, assured, destined for awakening.”
