Five aggregates
Form, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness are the five bases of clinging.
- Form: the material body and material phenomena.
- Feeling: pleasant, painful, or neutral experience.
- Perception: recognition and identification.
- Mental formations: intentions and other constructed mental activities.
- Consciousness: awareness through the six senses.
None of the five is permanent, satisfactory, or self.
