Practice

Five hindrances

Sensual desire, ill will, sloth and torpor, restlessness and remorse, and doubt obstruct clarity and concentration.

  1. Sensual desire.
  2. Ill will.
  3. Sloth and torpor.
  4. Restlessness and remorse.
  5. Doubt.

Practice recognizes whether each hindrance is present, how it arises, how it is abandoned, and how its return is prevented.
