The Four Noble Truths

  1. Clinging to conditioned existence is unsatisfactory.
  2. Craving sustains that clinging and dissatisfaction.
  3. Ending craving ends that clinging and dissatisfaction.
  4. The Noble Eightfold Path leads to that ending.

The first truth is to be understood. The second is to be abandoned. The third is to be realized. The fourth is to be developed.
